Expanding the Base of May Literature
The May 18 Literature Awards have discovered and awarded works with excellent literature. We look forward to novel literary works that will expand the base of May literature and revitalize May literature creative activities.
Business details
- Division
- Main Prize : Literature books such as poems, novels, children's literature, and reviews published within two years of the date of judging by established writers, and prize money of 20 million won
- Rookie of the Year : Unpublished pure creative manuscript by a non-listed artist.
- Poem : 5 or more and less than 10 (one winning piece, 3 million won in prize money)
- Novel : About 70 pages based on 200 letters of manuscript (one selected piece, 5 million won in prize money)
- Children's literature : Fairy Tale, one selected piece, prize money of 3 million won) / About 30 pages based on 200 letters of manuscript for fairy tale, not less than 5 pieces and not more than 10 pieces at the same time
※ Eligibility to apply for Rookie of the Year: Rookie of the Year, not an established literary man (If the genre is different, the established literary man in the relevant category is recognized as a rookie of the year)

- Early May : Main Award and Rookie of the Year Award winners announced.
- Mid-May : May 18 Literature Awards Ceremony
- June : Production and distribution of award-winning works
