Activities of the Myanmar-Gwangju Solidarity in 2021

○ Introduction of the Myanmar-Gwangju Solidarity

A military coup hit in Myanmar on February 1 this year and the May 18 Memorial Foundation issued a statement condemning the coup on the same day. It held an emergency meeting on March 6 and launched the “Myanmar-Gwangju Solidarity against the military coup in Myanmar and in support of its democracy”. Since its inauguration ceremony, the Solidarity has carried out activities to oppose the military coup and support the resistance of people in Myanmar. The Myanmar-Gwangju Solidarity is open to anyone who agrees with the purpose of the organization, including groups, individuals, and political parties.
